Hello.
At the time of making this website, I have worked as a night auditor for a non-chain hotel in a moderately sized Midwestern City. For anonymity’s sake I will not be saying my name, the city or even state I live in, or the name of my hotel. The hotel is old and has often been described by guests as reminding them of “The Shining.” To describe myself a little, I am a young white man who is doing this job while also taking online college classes.
On an average night, the job takes maybe 2-3 hours of direct work. For the most part I am left both to my devices or the whims of my guests. The requests of the guests range from both the most mundane and basic (such as asking for towels) to the most absurd and insane. I will not spoil the fun for any of the coming stories but I must say – after having worked nearly a decade in food service, retail, and hospitality – this hotel is by far where I have met the strangest people in my life.
